Digital ArtWOrk



Rhododatum



A collaboration with artist Stefanie Posavec and data scientist Alan Elliot, these bespoke digital sculptures are created from 110 years of data collected by The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.


The artwork, produced by RBGE formed part of their exhibition ‘Rhododendrons: Riddle, Obsession, Threat’, 2022.



Rhododatum



An artistic visualisation of data that highlights some of the most threatened rhododendron plants in the RBGE’s Living Collection. A visual language, which allows comparison between rhododendron Red List species, indicating their health in the collection & their vulnerability in the wild.



DEvelopment



Each Species has a unique form based on its history in the collection.
